Hello,
is there a ribbon bar called "Backup" when you start outlook?
The new ribbon bar should be right next to "View" at the top border.

If the ribbon is not shown, please check file --> options --> Add-Ins whether the plugin "BackupAddIn" was loaded successfully.
If it doesnt load, please try to install
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48217

Kind regards,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,

thanks for your answer.
I see the ribbon bar called "Backup", so I think the Installation is fine.
But I have no entry for Settings/Outlook Files.
So I have a look to the registry and add the String "source path" to the key: Items.
But when I start Outlook again, the string ist empty.

The installation from the VSTOR is allso susseccful done, but nothing has Change.

Do you have other ideas?

Thanks for your help.
Best regards Dieter

Hello,
this means that the plugin was installed correctly.
The backup addin will usually only backup pst files. ost-files are only cache files and usually dont need to be backed up.
IMAP and exchange accounts only cache the emails locally but are stored on server side.
Please check whether your accounts use POP or IMAP/Exchange.

Kind regards,
Thomas
